We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Ski Instructor to support our team in providing ski lessons to students of all ages and skill levels. As an Assistant Ski Instructor, you will work alongside senior instructors to help deliver fun, safe, and effective lessons. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about skiing who are looking to gain teaching experience and develop their skills in ski instruction.
Support Lead Instructors: Assist senior instructors during lessons, helping with group management, demonstrations, and ensuring students are following instructions.
Provide Hands-On Assistance: Offer personalized attention to students, especially beginners, helping them with equipment, balance, and basic ski techniques. Ensure students feel supported throughout the lesson.
Ensure Safety: Monitor students to ensure they are skiing safely and adhering to proper skiing etiquette. Assist with ensuring all safety protocols are followed during lessons.
Set Up and Manage Lesson Logistics: Help with the organization and setup of lesson areas, including managing equipment, preparing students for lessons, and ensuring smooth transitions between lesson stages.
Motivate and Encourage Students: Create a positive and fun learning environment by encouraging students, offering praise, and helping them build confidence on the slopes.
Assist with Group Management: Help manage group dynamics during lessons by keeping students engaged, ensuring no one is left behind, and addressing individual needs as they arise.
Basic Instruction: Provide basic skiing instruction to beginner students when needed, under the supervision of a senior instructor.
Lesson Debriefing: Help gather and provide feedback to students and parents after lessons, highlighting areas of improvement and offering encouragement for continued learning.
Graduate or Undergraduate in any major, preferable in physical education
Strong Skiing Ability: Demonstrated competence in skiing, with a solid understanding of basic ski techniques.
Passion for Teaching: A genuine interest in helping others learn and improve their skiing skills, with a positive and patient attitude.
Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with students, parents, and fellow instructors.
Team Player: Willingness to collaborate and work as part of a team to support lead instructors and ensure a high-quality lesson experience.
Customer Service Mindset: Friendly, approachable, and focused on providing a great experience for students and parents.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience working with children or in a customer-facing role.
Familiarity with local skiing terrain and conditions.
